Confident Wardley Weighs Twenty Pounds Less Below Compared to Bulky Parker

Joseph Parker registered almost 20lb above than his opponent as each top fighters cut assured figures - albeit in different manners - ahead of this weekend's main event in the capital.

Kiwi Parker will put his interim WBO title and opportunity to compete for the undisputed crown at stake against the undefeated Wardley at the London venue.

Reigning division king Oleksandr Usyk has made clear his aim to retain his world titles facing the victor.

"It all comes down to this. It represents all," said a serious but concentrated Wardley, aged 30, at Friday's weigh-in.

Wardley - the holder of the interim WBA title - weighed in at 110 kg, consistent with his latest fights.

"This contest prior to the big one. Every effort is done. Training is completed. The grueling sessions is done. Time for some downtime now. Big night tomorrow," he added.

The historic venue in the capital's east hosted not just fresh produce on the scales as the both boxers squared up for the ultimate face-off ahead of the bout.

Joseph Parker winked at the camera and bobbed along to the beat.

As he flexed his physique, he appeared hefty and forceful as he weighed in at eighteen stone ten pounds, only a handful of pounds lighter than his career-heaviest.

It is a major change from the 107 kg version who was defeated his championship to Anthony Joshua in 2018.

"We are alert, we're cautious, but I will to match him blow for blow and I will reach him," Joseph Parker declared.

Wardley, sporting an Ipswich Town jersey, kept a serious expression, greeted the audience, but appeared zoned in.

Despite being the smaller man, Fabio Wardley has exceptional knockout power. He delivered a dramatic turnaround facing his opponent in the summer, trailing on the judges' cards then defeating his rival in the 10th round despite being outmaneuvered for most of the fight.

"Joseph Parker, his camp and the sport's followers will learn I am meant to be at the top of this heavyweight ranks," Fabio Wardley stated.

"Every opponent has been the fighter experts predict will overcome me. This is the one. He is superior speed, rapid, vastly experienced. But I remain unbeaten to date, and no one will alter in the ring."
